What an amazing and abundant day! I hope you all are feeling energized and organized in your corner of the universe. I’ve already done a Muscle Moment on squats but after one of my good friends reached out to me about the gluteus maximus muscle, I thought to myself, “I mean really...who can get enough of the bum?” It’s one of my favorite parts of my body to work out. I’m a dancer so I’m all about engaging my legs and these exercises do just that for me, and will do that for you too! The gluteus maximus is the main muscle of three that make up your glutes along with the gluteus medius and gluteus minimus. The function of the gluteus maximus is primarily upper leg extension. As the largest muscle in your body, the gluteus maximus is no stranger to a workout. Everyday activities like walking up steps and picking things up off the ground work this muscle. 1. Keep a straight back (don't bend over or arch)
