While I've been enjoying the warm weather that has bestowed the Northeast through this early fall, I have not failed to recognize that it is already October! And while this year that might not mean Apple Cider and Cute Scarves (at least not of yet...), it does mean opportunity! Here's why...
OCTOBER MEANS ENJOYMENT
One thing I love about October is the merge of summer and fall. October is just a great month to be both inside and outside. The leaves are changing colors and fall while the sun is still peering through the trees. The scenery of fall is absolutely beautiful and if you make time to enjoy the nature of this month you are sure to observe all the magical changes that make October so special. For those of us who love some good fall fashion, we might have to wait a little later in the month to stunt on em'. But, that also means we'll most likely get to skip out on a real winter this year and who's complaining about that? "Listen! OCTOBER MEANS FUN
October is a great month to have some fun with family and friends. I'm not saying that the other 11 months in the year are not full of fun, but October is undoubtedly full of events and festivities that are sure to keep you busy. For one, October is the beginning of sports season. Okay, so maybe your favorite baseball team isn't going to the World Series *tear*, but Basketball, Football and Hockey are kicking off this month. If you're not committed enough to buy a 10-game pass, you can at least gather some friends and family around and watch from home. OCTOBER COULD MEAN A NEW JOB
October could mean a new job, if you want one. Studies have shown that early fall is one of the best times of year to get a new job. Summer can be slow because employers are vacationing and fiscal years are wrapping up. Around this time of year, job positioning are evolving and changing and hiring processes can be smoother and faster. October is the month of opportunity because you want it to be. More importantly because you make it! There are a lot of things going on in the world right now, but nothing is more important than investing in yourself and being of service to your community. Whether small or big goals are on your list at the moment, there is no better time than now to make moves in that direction.
